Workouts after a weekend up north with pie, ice cream and pan cakes is not fun...

Well, I guess the title sums it all up. They are right when they say the third week is the toughest. Day 1 of week 3 is chest, back and abripper X again. I thought I was going to be able to do at least 15 reps in each set but was only able to kick out about 7-8 towards the end.

Abripper X was also extremely difficult. I was able to do 25 reps for most of the sets, but with many breaks in between. Phase II includes weeks 4-7 I think and man does it look hard! I'm scared actually. Maybe by the end of the week I'll feel differently. I kind of feel right now that 3 weeks in phase 1 isn't enough.

Rest Day, and Well Needed

Yesterday was Kenpo X, but on top of getting ready for the North Shore, mowing the lawn, and running errands, I wasn't able to finish the full hour. I only got in 30 min. However, my legs were aching from the day before.

It's pretty amazing how much different you feel physically and psychologically the second week. The first week I could hardly do two over hand pull ups. The second week I can do six. When you do P90X you work the whole body, so you feel stronger all over.

I'm anxious to see what week 3 brings. "Do your best, and forget the rest."

Fo Chizel...my...oh my achin' self

After the P90X Chest and Back week 2 and Minor's Chizel workout, I am really feeling sore now. They say that the third week is tough, but I hope my body adjusts soon because I'm only on the second. I'm thinking of putting before and after picks up, but I tend to shy away from things like that. The big trick now is finding the right diet to accompany this work out and getting away from the bad habits.

Day 1 of Week 2

I survived the first week of P90X. It wasn't as tough as I initially thought, but the Yoga X completely kicked my butt. On top of it all, I have also begun Tyrone Minor's Chizel work out at North View Junior High after school on Mondays and Wednesdays. He gives us an excellent core crunching work out. It's a nice supplement to the P90X. Today is the start of week 2: Chest and Back plus Abripper X. This phase lasts for 3 weeks and then it gets more intense as the program continues.

Wish me luck this week...I'm going to need it!
